It’s the event that turned the tide of of the American Revolution, and it happened practically in our back yard: George Washington’s Annual Delaware River Crossing. Historical reenactors bring the story to life with a day of demonstrations and colonia activity, with a recreation of the famed crossing at 1pm. $8, 10am-4pm. www.washingtoncrossingpark.org

If you’re looking for some indoor fun on Sunday instead, bring the kids to MarketFair for the West Windsor Arts Council’s Winter Warm Up: an afternoon of free art activities for the family.
