The musical masterminds of So Percussion perform live at Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium this weekend. Not familiar with this group? Definitely take this chance to check them out! Saturday September 16
It’s a party, and you’re invited! The Arts Council of Princeton is marking 50 years of arts programming in Princeton, and they’ve got a full day of fun and celebration planned, with something for everyone! Kids can get hands on with make and take art projects, or games. Want to learn something new? Jump in for an instructor demo! Make your mark by contributing to a collaborative community mural. The day ends with an opening reception for their 50th Anniversary Invitational Exhibition in the Taplin Gallery. FREE, 12-3pm.

Gather ‘round for some stories – it’s the NJ Storytelling Festival at Howell Living History Farm. The cozy farm over in Titusville hosts storytellers from the tri-state area as they spin their tales for audiences of all ages. FREE, 12-6pm. www.njstorynet.org

Explore Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve after dark at their ‘Nature at Night’ program. Bring your own flashlight or headlamp and search the New Hope preserve’s meadow for signs of nocturnal nature. $8, 7pm. www.bhwp.org

It’s back: JazzFeast is in it’s 26th year! Visit Palmer Square for an entire afternoon of live jazz, plus delicious eats from dozens of the area’s best restaurants. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the music for free, or make your way around the square to try different plates.
