Celebrate Arbor Day with by picking up a Norway Spruce or a Red Oak, for free, courtesy of The Garden Club of Princeton. You’ll find them on the island at the intersection of Mercer St. and University Place (across the street from Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s Nassau St. location.) Come hungry… it’s time for Princeton University Truckfest! 15 local food trucks will be lining Prospect Ave, serving up tasty eats of all varieties. Best part? It’s for a good cause! See the lineup of trucks and get more info. 1-5pm. http://www.princetontruckfest.org

Get hands on at Art Making Day at Artworks Trenton! Artists of all ages can let their creative juices flow and participate in mural painting, collages, and more, moving station to station through the building. FREE, 12-5pm. www.artworkstrenton.org/art-making-day

If you’re looking for a different way to enjoy a sunny Saturday, head over to Lambertville for ShadFest! The river town parties as the shad return to the Delaware River. Food and craft vendors line the streets, live music fills the air, and yes, you can even try some tasty shad. FREE, 12:30-5:30pm. http://www.shadfest.com

PSA: if you’ve got old prescription drugs in the cabinets, it’s time to dispose of them safely. Mercer County is hosting a Prescription Drug Take Back Day, so head to the Administration Building with your unused, unwanted, and expired meds to dispose of them safely. Hello, Communiversity! The Arts Council of Princeton presents the 47th annual street fest. Will you be there?
