Start the weekend off with a lecture at Princeton University Art Museum. ‘In the Dark: Night Prints from Durer to Goya’ examines exactly that – night scenes by the historical masters of printmaking – and is presented by museum docent Judy Lanbille. FREE, 12:30pm. artmuseum.princeton.edu

Stop by the new bike store in Hopewell and celebrate its Grand Opening! Sourland Cycles, located a few buildings down from Brick Farm Market, is offering special sales, demos, a raffle, guided bike tours, food and lots more this Saturday. FREE, 10am-4pm. www.sourlandcycles.com

BYOB means ‘build your own birdhouse’ at Washington Crossing State Park this weekend. Kids ages 6-11 can stop in to the Visitor Center at 1pm to build a pine board birdhouse, just in time for the return of our local feathered friends! We love the ‘Art for Families’ program at the Princeton University Art Museum! In addition to self-guided tours that you can snag on your phone, and the fact that museum admission is always free, this program offers a themed activity based on the art collection. Sunday, April 12
What’s a vernal pool? Find out with Mercer County Park’s naturalist on a hike at the Sourland Preserve! Explore the pools and their amphibious occupants on a two hour hike (limited to 15 participants.) Register via email hikes@sourland.org. FREE, 1-3pm. www.sourland.org/events
