The Inside Scoop: Tickets to Joan Baez from the Coalition for Peace Action

Legendary singer Joan Baez is known for her iconic voice and her relentless advocacy for peace and human rights. In her 50 year career she has released over 30 albums. Though a talented song writer, she is also famous as an interpreter of other people’s work, covering songs written by Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and the Beatles among many others. Her most famous recordings are of protest songs and songs advocating peace and equality. Since the 1950’s she has been a strong supporter of the civil rights movement and in the late 1960’s, Baez was part of a large group of artists and intellectuals  protesting the draft and the Vietnam War.
