You are invited to submit work to the Arts Council of Princeton’s Annual Membership Exhibition. This year’s annual members’ show is titled Re:Member and will be on view in the Taplin Galley (in the Paul Robeson Center) from September 10 – 30. As always, the members’ show is open to all artists who are current members of the Arts Council non-member artists are invited to join the ACP and exhibit your work. There will be an opening reception Saturday, September 10th from 3-5pm.
Re:Member asks how we remember significant events and how we interpret them through art? It is important to note that the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001 occurs during the run of this exhibition. But, the Re:Member theme is designed to be much broader than that.
ACP member artists may submit work that addresses the many ways we remember people and places; and interprets significant events in our lives. We are looking for interpretations that run the range from pure emotional expression to literal documentation. Re:Member is also part of “Memory and the Work of Art,” a community-wide collaboration with the Princeton University Art Museum, the & other organizations.
