Horrid weather we are having, right?? What a better way to shake off the cold and wet than a nice dinner out with someone special and taking in some music after?
We say dinner in Palmer Square….Theresa’s for a hearty pasta or Mediterra for something off the grill like the juicy pork chop or perhaps roasted chicken on this rainy night? Throw in a salad and a bit of red wine…a full warm belly will make it all less gloomy.
Then we suggest you head over to Taplin Auditorium on the Princeton Campus to see the Composers Ensemble of Princeton, (609-258-5000) at 8 p.m. for their free concert entitled: ‘Voices and Fiddles’ with Celestial Mechanics, Daniel Trueman, and Brittany Haas. Showcasing the works by graduate students MR Daniel, Lainie Fefferman, Anne Hege, and Jascha Narveson.
A hearty dinner, a little string music and then home for an early bedtime. Sounds like a heavenly Tuesday to us.
Mediterra is on Hullfish Street in the heart of Palmer Square. Taplin Auditorium is located across Washington Road from the main campus on the second floor of the Fine Hall complex at the opposite end of the plaza from the 13-story Fine Hall Tower, the most visible landmark around.
Don’t forget your umbrella!
