The third weekend of every month is Story time at the New Jersey State Museum. On Saturday August 15th and Sunday August 16th at 2pm listen to this weekend’s story: My Hands Sing the Blues: Romare Bearden’s Childhood Journey. After the story, stay for the related craft and explore the museum.

For Medium Scoops

The New Brunswick Cultural Center prevents Hub City Sounds, a FREE festival series. This week they are featuring Kids Rock with Big Jeff and the Starfish Band at the State Theater. This is a free event and no reservations are required! The show is on Saturday August 15th at 3:00pm.

For Big Scoops

Your big scoops will love walking around with Naturalist Jenn Rogers and the Howell Living Farm staff on Friday August 14th from 7:30-9pm for a Cricket Walk. While horses and sheep may be sleeping for the night, explore the nocturnal animals that are coming alive at night. Be sure to turn on your night vision!
