Teens looking to fill their volunteer requirements might think about volunteering that the fabulous Princeton Public Library this Summer. Teen Summer Volunteers support the annual Summer Reading Program and other summer programming, from June 20 through August 24, 2014—the Teen Summer Volunteers provide a huge service to the library and the community, and also have a lot of fun! Participants are asked to volunteer between 12 and 24 hours of time, generally in three-hour shifts, over the course of the summer.
Students entering grades 8-12 (2014-2015) are eligible to participate, but the program has a limited capacity. Preference is given to Princeton Public Library cardholders. Learn more about obtaining a library card at princetonlibrary.org/about/library-cards

Before beginning the application, you will want to locate your Princeton Public Library card (if you have one), your summer schedule with dates and times that you will not be available to volunteer, and, if you have not previously volunteered at the Princeton Public Library, the names and contact information of two references who are not family members. The entire application should take about 30 minutes to complete.
