Friday November 4
It’s ‘Fela!’ The musical tells its stories through the music and lyrics of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, and is brought to live on the stage at McCarter Theater with help from a Tony Award-winning Broadway cast. Tickets available. 8pm. www.mccarter.org

The Hopewell Train Station hosts ‘Transformations,’ an annual art & craft show featuring a group of local artists. Visit on Friday night for the opening reception, and start your holiday shopping with one of a kind pieces of jewelry, ceramics, wood, origami, weaving, stained glass and more. The show runs all weekend. FREE, 6pm.

Saturday November 5
Have a kiddo that’s headed to preschool? Get a look at some of the local offerings with the Preschool Fair at Princeton Public Library. Representatives from area schools will be on hand to discuss curriculums, philosophy, admissions and more. FREE, 11am. www.princetonlibrary.org

Afterwards, take your little one for a musical afternoon at ‘Baby Got Bach: Wonderful Winds.’ The Princeton University Concerts series is held in the Richardson Auditorium on the Princeton University campus, and features Pianist Orli Shaham. FREE, 1pm. www.princetonuniversityconcerts.org

It’s a party at Cherry Grove Farm, as the farmers present their Second Annual Cow Parade. Yep, that’s right – it’s a parade of cows along the farm, plus local eats and brews, live music, hayrides, face painting, a bonfire with s’mores, and more! $10 per carload, 1-8pm. www.cherrygrovefarm.com

Who-who wants to do something fun on Sunday? Join the Mercer County naturalists for a session on Owl Ecology at the Hunt House in Mercer Meadows. Learn about the nocturnal birds, the research being conducted, and see saw-whet owls up close as they are banded, measured and set free.
