Bring the family to Princeton Public Library for a journey back in time to the Thomas Clarke farm – the site of the Battle of Princeton – with author Laura Crockett. Her book, ‘Mary Stumpf at the Battle of Princeton’ is a YA novel that is set right in our own backyard during the battle that changed the course of the Revolutionary War. Ages 8 & up. Love local food? Stop in to taste & shop at Blue Moon Acres Farm Market in Pennington this Friday. The farm store brings local vendors and musicians together for a tasting & celebration. This week, meet the vendors and try locally raised meats from Tullamore Farms and sample organic olive oil from Mediterranean Delicacies. Saturday, January 4
The works of Schumann, Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin & Rachmaninoff will enchant concert goers at Westminster Conservatory’s Bristol Chapel this Saturday as talented students & alumni perform in a benefit concert. The musicians have performed at venues such as the Kimmell Center and Carnegie Hall, but are returning to Westminster to raise scholarship funds for future students. Get the kids out of the house and into the woods at Princeton’s Mountain Lakes Preserve with Stony Brook Millstone Watershed naturalist Jeff Hoagland. The ‘Welcome Winter Walk’ will examine how native plants and animals hibernate, store food supplies, and make it through the winter. Wear boots and be ready to explore! Ages 5+. $5, 9:30am.
