Katzenjam! Music you don't want to miss.

This is the true story…

 of thirteen singers…

 Picked to sing in a co-ed a cappella group…

Rehearse together and have their lives taped…

to find out what happens…

 when people stop being polite…

 and start getting REAL…

This is KATZENJAM!

This Friday night, October 16th , come on over to Richardson Auditorium on Princeton University’s campus to experience one of the most unique a cappella groups in the region: The Princeton Katzenjammers! Founded in 1973 by a pair of Princeton singers tired of the single-sex a cappella scene, the Katzenjammers have the distinction of being the oldest collegiate co-ed a cappella group in the nation.

For the first time since Spring 2006, the Katzenjammers will perform in a full concert, lovingly called the KatzenJAM! This type of thing only happens once every four years, so don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity. The concert will include both our oldest and newest arrangements, and we’ve even invited one of the best Princeton dance ensembles to be featured in our concert!

If you think you don’t like collegiate a cappella, think again—our versatile repertoire has something for even the pickiest of listeners. Our group of amazing singers stretches themselves to sing pieces ranging from sacred hymns to sassy ballads, classical choral works to classic pop standards, jazzy croons to jumpin’ tunes. The KJs love to challenge themselves by singing difficult music from a variety of genres, making our rep one of the most exceptional among college a cappella groups. Even celebs know it—Just recently, Carly Simon featured our arrangement of one of her songs on her website! Check it out on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-St7-L_vg9M.  You can read more here too: http://www.princeton.edu/~pukatz/

To buy tickets for the KatzenJAM!, visit the University Ticketing website at http://www.princeton.edu/utickets/, or stop by the ticket office on the first floor of the Frist Campus center to pick up your tickets. You won’t be sorry!  $10 for adults, $6 for students.

Show starts at 8pm…see you there.
