Bring the little ones to Hopewell Library and let them pick out some new favorite books! The library’s ‘Just for Kids Book Sale’ begins this Saturday, with hardback books for $1 and paperbacks for 50 cents. (We’d say that’s ‘allowance-friendly’ pricing!) 9:30am. 245 Pennington Titusville Road, Pennington, 609-737-2610
It’s ‘Come Outside and Play Weekend’ in Hopewell, and there’s no better way to play outside than to take a hike with the fam! Head to the Stonybrook-Millstone Watershed for a Picnic at the Pond. Meet at Wargo Pond, take a hike, and then enjoy a picnic & campfire. Register in advance. FREE, 3pm. www.thewatershed.org
Sunday June 12
Walk, skate, run, bike, dance, stroll, wheel your way around Quaker Road for the Princeton Ciclovia, hosted by the Princeton Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. That’s right: Quaker Road will be closed to cars, so park at the Princeton Friends School and then get out there in whatever non-automobile fashion suits you! (PS: dogs on leashes are welcome, too!) FREE, 1-4pm. www.bikeleague.org
And here is a great deal from a great PrincetonScoop client: Imagine being glasses free. Contacts free. Ahhh, so nice… and now’s the chance to make it happen. Local LASIK expert Dr. Barry Wasserman is offering $1000 off the procedure, and invites you for a free consultation on the easy procedure. You could be glasses free by the 4th of July!
