It’s that time of year….parties will be cropping up as we approach the Holiday season. Make your first stop the Jr. League of Greater Princeton’s Designer Showhouse & Gardens Holiday Patrons’ Cocktail Party.
It will be held at the Showhouse, 159 Library Place, Princeton, on Thursday, November 13th from 6-9pm. It will be a lovely occasion to relax with friends and explore the newly decorated home decked out for the holidays. A jazz trio will add to the warm celebratory atmosphere and you’ll find a cozy spot in front of the many beautiful fireplaces to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and winter cocktails by Main Street Catering. An exclusive array of silent auction items will be available for bidding including themed prize baskets designed by Junior League members.
The Patrons’ Cocktail Party ticket allows visitors to tour the house as many times as they wish through November 23. Tickets are now available at www.jlgp.org. Space is limited!
If you can’t make the party be sure to take a tour of the Showhouse, a magnificent brick Georgian at 159 Library Place that was designed by John Russell Pope, designer of The National Archives and Records Administration, the Jefferson Memorial and the West Building of the National Gallery of Art, among others.
Fifteen interior design spaces, as well as exterior lawn and garden areas, provide local designers and landscape architects unique opportunities to showcase the winter holidays celebrated, with a focus on creating festive, warm spaces inviting to family and friends. Designers and landscape architects this year include Ronni Hock, Michael Herold, Susan Taylor, Jeffrey Queripel, and Stewart von Oehsen, among others.
The Designer Showhouse & Gardens: Holiday Edition will be open for visitors November 13 (10-2), 14-16 and 20-23, 11am -4pm Thursday, Saturday & Sunday and 11am – 8pm on Friday. Tickets are $35 and available here.
