In our commitment in offering the latest in state of the art technology, Princeton Orthodontics is now using iTero Digital Impressions for our Invisalign Patients!
We have eliminated the traditional impression materials and trays that may elicit a gagreflex for some people. These digital impressions use an intra-oral camera to render a 3D digital image on a computer. Aside from being more comfortable and accurate, they are safe as there is no radiation used. The digital impressions are more accurate than traditional methods, thus enabling aligners to be made to fit more precisely.
Also, in a few minutes time, the simulator software also allows us to show a patient a rendering of what their own teeth will look like once straight! Now we can indeed answer the question, “what will my teeth look like afterwards?’
Finally, since this technology is fully digital, it eliminates the need to ship theimpressions out of the office so it removes 2-3 weeks of time from the manufacturing process allowing patients to receive their aligners much sooner!
All new Invisalign patients also receive complimentary bleaching while they wait for their aligners! Please mention this blog when scheduling your initial exam for a complimentary initial exam and digital impression.

At Princeton Orthodontics, adults make up 40% of our new patients as more and more people are realizing both the cosmetic and health benefits of straight teeth. Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom aligners to gradually straighten teeth without people noticing that you are doing it. Dr. Nicozisis is a nation speaker for Invisalign, instructing other orthodontic specialists advanced techniques with the system. He is currently co-authoring a text book chapter due out in 2014.
