This exhibition highlights African American individuals whose passion, determination and talent played an influential role in shaping notions of race and status over the past 150 years. The portrait subjects come from many sectors of the African American community from Frederick Douglas, Edmonia Lewis and Paul Robeson, to W.E.B. Dubois, Jackie Robinson and Wynton Marsalis.
Museum hours are 11 AM . 3 PM Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and noon to 4 PM Saturday and Sunday.
$5 for adults and $4 for seniors and students.
