The Princeton High School choir wants to bring a little bit of Venice to the community through their performance of Gondoliers, Gilbert and Sullivan’s twelfth operetta. The Princeton High School Performing Arts Center will be hosting the performance on October 19 and 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Gondoliers will have you enticed with the story of a young bride who travels to Venice to marry the heir of the throne of Barataria, but there is a twist. The heir she was supposed to wed was mixed up with a drunken gondolier’s son. The satire and love triangles will have you at the edge of your seat.
Tickets for the performance will be on sale Tuesday and Thursday, October 16 and 18, from 6- 8pm, and one hour before the performance. The tickets are $10 for adults and 5$ for students. They are also available in advance at the box office in the lobby of the Princeton Public Schools Performing Arts Center, at the rear of Princeton High School, on the corner of Walnut Lane.
Take some time off to enjoy a wonderful show and help the Princeton High School choir raise money to travel to Italy and Slovenia in February. For more information please contact Vincent Metallo, director of Princeton High School’s Choir, at Vincent_Metallo@princetonk12.org.
